Ruiz-Jorgensen
Ashleigh Dawn Jorgensen and Jose "Joey" Angel Ruiz were married June 20 at the Yakima home of the bride's aunt and uncle. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Kathi Seekins and Monte Jorgensen of Yakima. The bridegroom is the son of the late Sylvia Ruiz.
Eric Ruiz was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Doria Ruiz, Gina Morse, Destiny Garza, Sheldon Lakey and Zach Jorgensen.
The bride graduated from Thompson High School. She is employed with Yakima County Parks and Recreation. The bridegroom graduated from Granger High School. He is a certified lube technician at Rainfords Lube and Oil.
The couple is at home in Selah.
DeVries-Thonney
Andrea Thonney and Grant DeVries were married May 24 at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Gary and Kelly Ormiston, in Prosser. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Thonney of Prosser. The bridegroom is the son of Wayne and Barb DeVries of Ferndale, Wash.
Anne Jaca was maid of honor and Tyler Dykstra was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Cheryl Thonney, Kendra Bralens, Rebekah Stinchfield, Robert Thonney, Brady Cook and Dusty Walsh.
The bride earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Washington State University. The bridegroom earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture technology and management from WSU. He is employed at Western Farm Service in Connell, Wash.
Following a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple is at home in Pasco.
McLean-Gillespie
Erin Leigh Gillespie and Kyle Ian McLean were married June 21 at the Yakima Area Arboretum. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Greg Gillespie of Olympia and Marilyn Gillespie of Bismarck, N.D. The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Lilli McLean of Tieton.
Melissa Gillespie was maid of honor and Gunner McLean was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Jill Pottratz, Kate Eaton, Katie Maslen, Maddy Allen, Coy Cunningham, Zach Bogle, Jeremy Gillespie, Jacob Bolin, Drew Billup and Patrick Billup.
The bride is attending Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D. The bridegroom is attending Jamestown and Valley City College. He is employed at Suntides Golf Course.
They plan a trip to Kauai, Hawaii, at the end of July. They will be moving to Jamestown in August.
Ray-Willden
Bobbie Jean Willden and Kevin John Ashley Ray were married June 21 at New Hope Chapel. The reception followed at Ahtanum Youth Park in Union Gap.
The bride is the daughter of Rebecka Morrow, Alan Willden and Deno Morrow, all of Yakima. The bridegroom is the son of Rick Ray of Yakima and Patricia Hancock of Kelso, Wash.
Elizabeth Frey was maid of honor and Casey Leingang was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Delita Cammarata, Jammie Bellesen, Bianca Kromer, James Lamb, Ben Willden, Nick Ray, Karisma Randolph, Kiya Bellesen, Trinity Spaulding, Jeramiah Morrow and Izayiah Ray.
The bride is a stay-at-home mother of four children. The bridegroom is employed at ASAP Metal Fabrication.
The couple honeymooned in Yakima and make their home in Yakima.
Hunt-Martinez
Lisa Ann Martinez and David James Hunt were married May 17 at the home of James Hunt in Park City, Utah. A reception was held at the Moxee home of the bride's mother.
The bride is the daughter of Carol Martinez and the late Simon J. Martinez. The bridegroom is the son of James Hunt and the late Carla Hunt.
Nick Martinez was man of honor and Dr. Keith Lund was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Jeff Hunt and Ramon Martinez.
The bride graduated from the University of Puget Sound. The bridegroom graduated from Colorado State University. They are employed at Sitka Animal Hospital.
Following a trip to Egypt, the couple is at home in both Sitka, Alaska, and Jackson, Wyo.
Uhlman-Jong
Melissa Li-Sha Jong and Matthew Allen Uhlman were married Dec. 29, 2007, at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. A reception followed at the Seattle Space Needle.
The bride is the daughter of Kim and Victoria Jong of Suzhou, China, and Howard and Melanie Elliott of Poulsbo, Wash. The bridegroom is the son of Mark and Sue Uhlman of Yakima.
Maggie Hemphill was matron of honor and Michael Uhlman was best man. Other members of the wedding party included Jennifer Raney, Malia Benitez, Sara Thomas, Merrilee Peha, Hillary Holman, Matt Steele, Matt McCarthy, John Huibregtse, Sean Kinney and Erik Hansen.
The bride earned a degree in speech and hearing sciences from the University of Washington and her doctorate degree in audiology from UW. She is an audiologist at the University of North Carolina. The bridegroom earned a bachelor's degree in bioengineering from UW. He is attending Duke University School of Medicine.
Following a trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple is at home in Durham, N.C.
