* An item in Thursday's Outdoors section incorrectly reported when anglers could harvest summer chinook salmon on the mainstem Columbia River. Retention of adult summer chinook closed below the Highway 395 bridge in Pasco as of June 30 but remains open from there upstream to Priest Rapids through October. Retention of chinook jacks is still allowable below the Highway 395 bridge

* A Tuesday Home Front story incorrectly stated the projected cost of the Black Rock reservoir was a factor in the state Department of Ecology's decision to prepare a supplement to the Yakima River Basin Water Storage Feasibility Study. Public comments urging that a wider range of alternatives be considered drove the state decision, not the reservoir's estimated $6.7 billion cost.
