YAKIMA -- Central Washington retained its spots from the previous week in two national football polls.
The Wildcats remained No. 11 in the AFCA coaches poll and No. 6 in the D2Football.com rankings after beating Western Washington 50-28 Saturday night in Qwest Field.
More importantly, however, they moved from seventh to fifth in Monday's regional poll. The final regional rankings determine who makes the Division II playoffs, with the top six in each region advancing.
Central, 6-1 with four regular-season games remaining, visits Humboldt State on Saturday.
